Do those ceiling fan blade cleaning brushes work? I have seen ceiling fan blade cleaning brushes in the fans section at Walmart and Lowes. Do they really work in cleaning the blades? We have a ceiling fan in almost every room of the house and this time of the year they are not always on (it's cooler) and each time I turn one off the blades look dusty and even icky. Just wondered if those cleaning brushes are worth the money.

How can I tell the size of my gun cleaning brushes? I have two universal gun cleaning kits (bought 1 & then a nicer 1 was a gift). Cleaning Brushes/ Wintec Saddle.? Hey! I know it sounds a little nooby, but I just want to make sure I don't kill my tack and brushes. But, basically, its 1 am, and I'm bored. I brought all my stuff in from the barn because I have a show on Sunday, and I was going to clean tack on friday to sort of limit the work load on Saturday. But be cause I am bored, I was thinking of doing it all now! So, how exactly should I clean my brushes? we did a big spring brush cleaning, and I remember cleaning off the brushes, then soaking them in water. I can't remember what we used in it though, maybe dish detergent or bleach. Than we put it out on a sheet in the sun to dry. But is it ok to have my brushes totally submerged in water? I am worried it will hurt the wood handles. (they are synthetic bristles). As for cleaning my wintec, ok, so everything says that the synthetic tack is supposed to be super easy to clean, but I disagree! It is really textured, with tiny little shallow holes, and I can not get the dirt out for the life of me. I scrub with cloths and water, and nothing works. Is it safe to use dish soap on it? is it safe to like, hose it down?
